| SHOUT BOX | I would like to know why so many users of social networking sites think it is necessary, or even acceptable, to create pages that are horribly designed, have all sorts of "bling" across them, utilize atrocious colors, and seemingly don't reflect a progress in their thinking or education, but are merely methods of killing time and generating massive quantities of useless "content."
All one has to do is go through Myspace, Facebook, Yuwie, Xanga, or any of a host of other sites, and see how littered so many of these personal pages are with random junk.
If you're going to put yourself out there for the entire world to see and you're going to spend any time at all on this, why don't you create something that you'll actually be pleased with 10 years from now, and that doesn't suck the intelligence out of whoever happens to stumble across your site. Please. |
