MY YUWIE ROUTINE. WHAT IS YOURS?
That’s what I said in early March:
“I decided to publish my old YUWIE routine and ask what is yours, because I have to review mine.
As you may know, I got a full-time job and a part-time, so I’ll be less active at YUWIE. Please forgive me, my friends.
I believe that YUWIE can turn on a source of income especially if you do the right things. My old routine was built when I had a lot of time to be online, so I’m interested to know what you do differently.
My new approach will probably concentrate on getting more referrals and coaching them, as I have less time to work on it. So I’m also interested in knowing what you do if you have, let’s say, half an hour a day for YUWIE. I don’t have still any conclusions, but probably my old routine will be cut down to reflect that reduced time availability.
As an IT person, I have a strong tendency to experiment, identify the activities, then write then down as a plan and stick to it. Measure the results and redraw it.”
Now, I completely redesigned my routine and I think I’m getting better results in terms of page views, so again I’m sharing with you. Comments will be welcome.
Now it as much more detail, hope it is useful at least to give you some ideas.
Some facts I’ve verified made that served as basis for the change:
1) When you have loaded a profile, it is good for you and your friend if you do several actions, not only one. Specially, for some reasons I don’t know rating seems to be important. I have more page views when I restarted to rate my friend’s profiles.
2) It should be ways to benefit from the new friends actions (poke). I think it is not here just to imitate Facebook.
3) Approving the comments gives page views itself. I’ve changed my settings to approve comments.
4) I concentrate now on online friends. Online friends will see that you are active and send you comments, so you have chances to give retribution, or give them comments in the first place. You never know if you are going to get comments back from other users, it may happen much later in time, or never happen.
So, here’s my actual routine:
1) Open a window/separator with the control panel (in most cases I use Mozilla Firefox. In that window I do the following:
- Approve profile comments, blog and picture comments.
- Read my new mail messages
- Accept my new friends requests
- When I’m finished I start step 2)
2) Open a window/separator with all my online friends at that moment and keep it as it is (never get less than 60 friends online, remember I have more than 10000 friends).
I start once at the top of the first page, another time at the end of the last page, to distribute my comments between friends.
For each friend, I do the following steps
· Leave a comment
· Rate
· Friend action (I’m just starting to do that)
· Select one friend from that friend’s list who is online, or left a comment recently, add make an add request to that friend.
I always let the pages rotate, or make them to rotate to go to the last profile. I wait 3 seconds to do any action.
I resume at point 1 – Control Panel Window
If I don’t have any actions to perform, I respond to a friend’s action before going to the next.
Then I select the next friend, and I repeat the process.
3) I repeat points 1 and 2 for my list of active referrals. Sometimes I do that routine to inactive referrals. I hope they see a notification email at their mailbox and login to YUWIE. Who knows?
4) Repeat points 1 and 2 for my top 100 friends. Since yesterday, I have a list of 100 top friends instead of 50.
5) Repeat points 1 and 2 for the list of friend’s birthdays. I may select only the friends that I contact more (having 10000 friends there’s always a lot of birthdays, but you may only have a few).
NOTE: I can’t do that routine from start to end. At some point, I skip from 2 to 3. In general I finish 3. Then go to 4, I may stop at the friend where I left last time. At some point I return to 1 and 2. You have different online users in the morning, in the afternoon or at night.
OK, that is enough for now. Now is up to you. Please give me your opinions/comments/suggestions.
Yours,
Antonio
I’m leaving my old routine, it may also give some ideas to some friends.
OLD ROUTINE
Here the activities I used to do:
- Take note of my daily stats (control panel) to see how I’m going relating to the same day of previous months.
- Accept all the new friend requests I have. Leave them a comment “thanks for the add” and eventually rate.
- Make several “add as a friend” requests, for new users that are shown in the home page. I eventually may go further using the Browse menu.
- Leave “happy birthday” to every friend shown that day.
- Leave comments and rate my top 50 friends.
- Leave comments and rate people in my downline, starting by the most active ones.
- Comment back and rate the friends that left comments on my page.
- Leave comments/ rate friends that are online.
I use Linky add-on for Mozilla Firefox browser, but rarely open more than 6 tabs to avoid the browser to hang-up. Try to have at least an action in every page I open.
Some notes
1) I’ve been and I’ll be selecting my friends who leave me more comments, rate, comment my photos or blogs. This is a dynamic process. I think these are my friends that deserve more recognition, not forgetting all the others. One way to recognize their friendship is to give them visibility in my page.
2) This kind of routine is very time consuming for me as I am approaching 8700 friends. Having a large number of friends made me have a lot of birthdays, and when I check the online friends, I usually find more than 100 friends.
O.K, that’s it. Now is up to you. Please give me your opinions/comments/suggestions.
Yours
Antonio
