| When
you are viewing members' sites, have you ever had trouble finding where
to click to ask them to add you as a friend? How to rate their site?
How to send them a message? Have you clicked right on the button in the
User Options box and it still did nothing, went nowhere? Sometimes you
can't find the User Options box at all!
A Yuwie friend of mine had selected a background/layout that for some reason did not have any User Options box on the site at all and he was not even aware of it. You do not want this to happen to you. Imagine
all the Yuwie friends and associates that he missed out on! You
have to pay attention to this!
It
is important that you look over your background and layout to make sure
all the parts are there. Make sure your Yuwie friends can read all the
words on top of your background. Can everyone find your Options Box?
Are the words visible in it? Can friends leave you a comment? Just
because you may know what to do, don't assume that everyone does. They
may not know how or may not want to take the time and won't add you as
a friend.
These hints will help you and new Yuwie friends find their way a little easier:
In
your User Options box, which is usually on the middle right of your
site, there should be a choice of these options (or some similar words):
USER OPTIONS
[Send Message] [Forward Profile] [Add a Friend] [Add to Favorites]
[Report Inappropriate Content] [Block]
[Invite to Club] [Rank or Rate]
I have viewed many, many sites now and there are some User Options
boxes with nothing in them, some with maybe two visible words in
the box. What do you do then?
If
you move your mouse over any area or word in that box and look at the
very bottom line on the left of your computer screen, it will show the
link for that precise spot. If you are wanting to add a friend, keep
moving the mouse until the link has the word "add" at or near the end
of the link. If
you want to rate a site, the word "rate" will be
at or near the end of the link. You get the idea. This holds true
whether you can see the words in the box or if the box appears empty.
Many times there is no outline at all for a box. Then you just move
your mouse over the general area. Sometimes when you click right on an
option in the box, nothing happens. If you slowly mouse over the word
and the area around it, you may find the spot to click on is just a bit
higher or lower.
Once again, you have to move your mouse over the area slowly and
watch
the very bottom line on the left side of your screen to see the exact
spot you should click on. It will have the link with your User Option
choice at or near the end of the link.

One
thing you all might check too is ... if you're using a myspace layout
content box ... If someone visits your YUWIE page and clicks "IM or
CHAT"...it will take them to "REPORT USER" and not to an IM or Chat
client. I have seen this way too often. Yuwie's contact labels are
different than myspace ... so change the content table. Here's a great
